What could a symbiosis of human and artificial intelligence look like? What happens if we give the AI data that we humans find very difficult to evaluate, such as our emotional state?
With these questions in mind, I created a virtual space in which humans interact with an AI by analysing human emotions.
In a VR scene, electrical brain activities are measured by an EEG headset, translated into a pixel image and analysed by an A.I. that has previously been trained in emotional states. According to the emotion, an API provides randomly selected matching terms, which then form flying circling text bands in the 3D scene. Depending on whether a positive, neutral or negative emotion has been recognised, the light mood in the sky of the scene changes.
