Hardly any other technological development moves us as individuals, but also as societies, as much as artificial intelligence. On the one hand, people look forward to the future of possibilities created by AI. On the other hand, AI is perceived as something threatening to humans.

With “HUMAN AI” a dialogue system is designed that consists of an installation and a digital part. The installation includes a hanging from the ceiling to which stones are attached that address several AI-related themes. These terms are engraved on these "basic stones" and visible to everybody. As soon as a term is read out by users, a dialogue with the AI starts. This is where the digital part comes into play: the AI now asks a question that can be answered. This is how an individual dialogue develops - whether very short, emotional or long. As a result of the conversation, a dialogue stone associated with the conversation forms on a screen and systematically arranges itself in an overview of all conversations that have already taken place and stones that have been created.

The sensual structure is intended to provide access to artificial intelligence and to create an active, new type of exchange between AI and humans. This leads to a transformation of the perception of AI and is intended to actively encourage questioning of the dialogues and call on the users to already deal with relevant questions of tomorrow in relation to AI use. The aim is to develop an emancipated attitude of humans towards AI technologies and to contribute to an emphatic design of human-AI interactions.
